Peanut Butter Barr

Here is the newest member of the Barr household: Peanut Butter Barr.

He is 1.5 lbs, about 7 inches long, 5 inches tall, chocolate nose, green eyes, & full of mischief. We stumbled across this little baby. We weren't planning to add to our family until Labor Day, I was speaking with people who had pregnant dogs, who were to go into labor this week, making Labor Day 8 weeks; well there was one young woman who mentioned they had a little male Shih Tzu left from a recent litter. Well, I asked for a description & my heart just bloomed. They had already been calling him Peanut & we thought Peanut Butter Barr was just perfect! So we met her on Saturday 7-14-07 in Trussville, Al & adopted our newest child.

He was born May 19, 2007. He is adorable, loving, & oh so cute!

Quickie...

I find myself feeling weird lately. Okay, here is the story. I have always had millions of story lines & dreams flitting about my mind at all times, they are just there, seeming to blur or really disintegrate the line between reality & fiction. Lately though my dreams are more & more realistic, more & more vivid, my daydreams even overwhelm me. I used to control it better, but now the story lines aren't slowing down, they are coming in at a rush. I think that in high school I wrote them down more & that helped. I guess I need to start writing my them again, buy some blank journals or start a separate blog that is just my storylines... no I am not crazy, its just my creative outlets seem to be fewer & fewer these days. Grown up life can really suck & encompass all your time. Working on my list, that part about finding the girl before the one who wrote & drew all the time, I think she is screaming in the back of my head. :) So that is the plan... Again. To work on this, I guess I thought that just saying I would do it would help, but it hasn't. Action truly is needed sometimes....
Anyway, it is July. This year has FLOWN by. My one year wedding anniversary is less than 2 months away. wow. We have so much going on these next 8 weeks. It seems that we decided to take a bunch of mini vacations & one big one. We go to the beach 3 weekends in August. 3 WEEKENDS!! One set of those weekends is an 8 day vacation!! WOOHOO!!! then we go to Houston for Labor Day. As you can tell from the first paragraph of todays blog, I need a vacation.
Marcus & I are good. We are tired, ready for beach days & just ready to be out of town relaxing, even stressful relaxation would be nice. (meaning being on vacay with the fam :) )
Well, this is quick entry no major things, but I do need to say one thing:
JULY 12th - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACY!!!!

Lately...

So many things have been going on in just the short time since my last post. My girl Bubbles & my boy Bear not being around is making it quite difficult on us. I think it is still difficult to grasp that they are not just in Camden or somewhere. The house is a bit lonely & we hate it. We both realized that we want a new puppy & will be getting one around Labor Day. It breaks my heart when I think about no babies in the house & that my babies won't be coming back. I know that they will be right there with us when we explore the options.
My sister has had some major news in the past few weeks, as most of you know I had recently posted that her husband was having to make a career/position change due to the company dissolving. Well he has found another company doing similar to what he was doing only even better because he sort of gets to be his own boss. The best part: they are moving to the Atlanta area. I KNOW!! So many years, that she has been so far away, so distant & unable to see any of us at important times & vice versa. Now, possibly the most a 4 hour drive from TTOWN??? It is hard to fathom. I am so excited, anxious, and happy all at once. I know in so many ways it is a nightmare for them!! I mean they have 4 small children, 3 of which have to transfer to new schools, they have been in DC for so long & made so many friends & family over the years, it would be insane!! But I know that the pros have to weigh out the cons on this one, it will just be the process of actually getting moved that will be their main nightmare.
They are joining us on our big beach fam vacay in Pensacola... can't wait!!! I am more ready for a vacation than I have really ever been. I feel substantially drained this year!!!
We attended Riley's birthday bash with the Terrys, Pearsons, & Barrs. Mr. Robert came into town, we had a really nice visit. We are going out to Texas to stay with him for Labor Day weekend. It should be a blast!! He has mentioned Galveston & you know how I love that city!!
Anyway, just wanted to give a short update. I will elaborate on some topics a little later!!
