prizes?
What prizes?
Ohhhhh.....these prizes...
The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
Devoured by Amanda Marrone
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (SIGNED!!)
UNBOUND by Kim Harrison, Melissa Marr, Jeaniene Frost & Vicki Petersson
Glitter Baby by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Here There Be Dragons by James Owen
DragonSpell by Donita K. Paul
ALL of these books are outstanding!
If you have not yet jumped on the ship surrounding James Owen's The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series, then Here There Be Dragons is your ticket to adventure!
Elizabeth Scott's The Unwritten Rule is fantastic book on that all too taboo subject of liking your best friends' boyfriend.
Then comes Devoured by Amanda Marrone, I guarantee you won't think of fairytales the same after reading this one!
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (book 2 after The Hunger Games) continues with Katniss & Peeta in Panem's eccentric world.
DragonSpell by Danita Paul is a book full of fantasy! Dragons, magic, a wonderful heroine and an epic battle you won't want to miss!
Glitter Baby by Susan Elizabeth Phillips gives you a glimpse into the world of entertainment that is not for the faint of heart. A career that fizzled is to be reclaimed and a lifetime of misguided choices will help this main character discover love & life.
UNBOUND is an anthology that will keep the reader enthralled with each story that the authors present. The paranormal, magic, fantasy, romance, violence - no theme is forgotten from cover to cover.
Glitter Baby & UNBOUND really aren't YA, so please note if you share them with a teen, read them yourself first.
Oh yeah along with the books....

Tell me something I don't know question ....
I don't know if you want me to tell you something about me or just in general. SO I will do both.
Me: I have owned 3 pet skunks.
General: Skunk are corner trained, Meaning you dont have to potty train just put the litter box in a corner. They will go there every time.
What book do you cherish the most & why?
I have a new found love of The Sky is Everywhere By Jandy Nelson, so I think This one is going to be o my self for life. I really COnnected with the book.
Cleverlyinked (at) Yahoo (dot) com
WOW CHICKADEE This is an extravaganza!!
I just may the first to respond. Already a follower (so that's +3, right?) Clicked on the sidebar but not sure what happened (could have been +1). My most meaningful book will sound cliche, but it's Eat Pray Love because it opened my eyes to what honesty can do for us. My email is wendyramer(at)bellsouth(dot)com. What else? Oh, tell you something you don't know...OK. In Spain (where I lived) there is a wonderful charitable organization called ONCE that supports the blind community and sponsers a huge annual Christmas lottery, which the Spanish go beserk for. (How many points is that?) ;-)
ReplyDeleteWOW! ---passes out from bookish contest fun overload--- **wakes up, whoozey, but ready to continue** Congratulations on reaching 100+ followers! That's a great accomplishment! So nice of you to share your big news with everyone else but hosting thie fabu contest! Count me in!

+1 - linking on sidebar under contests! (http://insatiablereaders.blogspot.com)
REFERRAL - wasn't sure if they get the points or I do or both....but CLEVERLY INKED referred me!
+2 - That's a tough one because I pretty much cherish ALL of my books {{hugs all books, shelf by shelf}}. One of them (if I had to pick and offend the others) would be THE FORBIDDEN GAME trilogy by L.J. Smith. It's one of the series I started from a friends recommendation and then quickly HAD TO HAVE the other two (no really, Mom had to hunt them down for a Christmas present one year). It has adventure, danger, and a little romance....loads of fun. It's being re-released this June as well so those who haven't read it can check it out!
Thanks for the great contest! Happy reading!

Did you know that my puppy is the spawn of satan? I bet you you didn't! :D
What book do you cherish the most & why?
Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night by Kresley Cole. I may absolutely love Anne Bishop and Patricia Briggs, but this one book touched me in a way no others can. I think since I've bought it I've read it a total of 8 times already (which is a record for me in regards to re-reading books lol!)
It's the characters. Mari and Bowen were the first characters to get me genuinely interested in witches and werewolves. Mari's witty and outspoken, but she's also got a sweet side to her, and won't hesitate to help someone. Bowen's old! He's "outdated" in certain ways, so when Mari teases him I crack up all the time. He's also got a good heart and he's so protective of Mari that it's touching.

Something you don't know: Hm...that's hard, I already shared my biggest secret with you earlier this week. But...um...I guess you don't know that I have very flat feet. Almost no arch at all. My friends used to call me platypus feet because when I leave wet footprints around a pool you can really tell there's not a lot of arch. (*fears that's going to come back to haunt me*)
The book I cherish the most and why?:
Hm...that's REALLY hard. I guess it would have to be Ella Enchanted, because that was the book that made me want to write MG, and as I get closer and closer to reaching the dream of being published that means a LOT.

ReplyDeleteHmm, something you don't know....
I bet you didn't know that most often, drug companies give their drugs strange names that often have a Z or an X in order to prevent the name of the drug from actually meaning something in another language (think of the Nova, the automobile that just couldn't sell in Latin America...translation? "No Go.")
Ok, and a book that I cherish isssssss, well the LOR series, actually. I had been very ill some years back, and my husband one day tucked me under his arm and began to read the Fellowship of the Ring out loud. He ended up reading the entire series to me. They'll always be special to me.

My most cherished book is Gone with the Wind - it was the first really big book I read when I was younger...I enjoyed reading it so much plus I was so proud of myself for finishing all 1000 pages!

+2 something you don't know... 86.9% of all statistics are made up on the spot. hahaha okay, that doesn't really count. How about, strawberries are a member of the rose family... isn't that bizarrely interesting?
What book do I cherish most? Could you have asked a harder question? I'd say - the Bible definitely gets me through the day. Fiction wise I would say Jane Eyre is definitely up there. I love it to pieces.

This is my first post, yeah. All of the books look amazing. My most treasured book is going to have to be, okay someone has already said the Bible, that a given in my thoughts, BUT the other book would be my Twiligh copy that is signed by Stephenie herself.
ReplyDeleteSomething you dont know about about me, I rescued 2 baby squirrels about 3 years ago. I named them Jack and Jill. Took them to a lady that actually raises them and releases them when they get old enough to take care of themselves, she said they usually stay around her house.
I have a dog named Jack now and now all I need is another little girl so I can name her Jill.
I am at work right now so i had better get back to it.
